Google Doodle and Twitterati commemorates 148th birthday of Dadasaheb Phalke

  • Dhundiraj Govind Phalke (Dadasaheb Phalke) born on 30 April 1870.
  • Phalke is considered as father of Indian cinema.
  • He began his career as a small town photographer in Godhra.

Google created a special Doodle to mark the 148th birth anniversary of father of Indian cinema – Dadasaheb Phalke. The doodle features a image of Phalke looking through a film’s reel. There are four other images in which he can be seen directing actors, wielding the camera and editing film. This remarks his contribution in each aspect of film making.
